SSC Part 1 (9th) Result 2012

9th (SSC Part 1) result has been declared in Punjab today on 15th August,2012.
You can check that from the respective board site of yours.
Lahore Board of Intermediate & Secondary Education, BISE Lahore has declared Matric SSC part 1 result 2012 on 15 August, 2012. 9th class students can check their annual board examination result online here.
BISE Rawalpindi has released SSC part 1 board annual exam result on 15 August 2012. Rawalpindi board students can check their matric 9th class result online here.

BISE Faisalabad is the second largest board in Punjab. Faisalabad board of intermediate and secondary education has announced to declare ssc part 1 result on 15 August 2012. Faisalabad board 9th class students can see their academic result online here.

Multan Board of Intermediate and secondary education, BISE Multan released matric part 1 result 0n 15 August 2012. Multan board students of 9th class can check their SSC part 1 result online here.

TECHNOLOGY ENTRY TESTS 2012
Entry Test For B.Sc and Bachelor Programs Offered by Engineering Universities of the
Punjab Excluding Technology Programs
1. The Entry Test has a total of 100 questions divided into four portions. There are (+4) marks
for correct answer and (-1) mark for wrong answer. Maximum marks as such are 400.
2. Three compulsory portions comprising of 70 questions are:
(a) Mathematics (30 questions);
(b) Physics (30 questions); and
(c) English (10 questions).
3. The  candidate will choose either Chemistry or Statistics or Computer Science for the
remaining 30 questions. Kindly note that Chemistry is compulsory for candidates with Preengineering or DAE backgrounds. Candidates choosing Computer Science or Statistics must have
the requisite subject combination in Intermediate and will only be eligible to apply in restricted
programs as stated in the prospectus of Engineering Universities.
4. There are four versions of the Entry Test. All four versions have the same set of questions,
however, the sequence of compulsory subjects, multiple choice options and sequence of questions
in each version is different.
5. Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Computer Science and Statistics questions have been set
from the syllabus of F.Sc (Intermediate).  Efforts have been made to set the questions from those
topics of F.Sc (Intermediate) that are common to 'A' level British System syllabus.
6. The 10 questions of English portion have 5 questions of English comprehension and 5
questions of Synonyms. In English comprehension, the candidates are given a paragraph to read and
answer related questions.
7. The purpose of the Entry Test is to check the competency/ skill level attained by the
candidates during the Intermediate level studies.Entry Test For B.Sc. Technology Programs Being Offered by UET Lahore and

(a) Mathematics (40) questions;
(b) Physics (30) questions; and
(c) English (30) questions.
3.  There are four versions of the Entry Test. All four versions have the same set of questions,
however, the sequence of subjects, multiple choice options and sequence of questions in each
version is different.
4. Questions of Mathematics and Physics have been set from matric and intermediate level
syllabus.
5. The 30 questions of English are divided into three portions. 10 questions check English
comprehension. 10 questions comprise of filling in the blanks in sentences. 10 questions are
questions of Synonyms. In English comprehension, candidates will read a paragraph and answer
related questions.

NOTE:-
a. Applicants shall appear for the test in the Entry Test Center where their application has been submitted. Lahore Center
applicants will also be placed in Kala Shah Kaku Campus for Entry Test.
b. Applicants are advised to choose a Test Center nearest to the District of Domicile and apply at their  earliest. Seating
capacity is limited in each Center.
c. Applicants will have to choose an alternate test center in case all seats in a center of their choice have been filled.
2. ENTRY TEST APPLICATIONS
a. The Entry Test Application shall be filled online through the web link  http://admission.uet.edu.pk from
13-08-2012 onwards. Applicants must ensure that the entered data is correct before taking a printout of the online filled
application alongwith copies of bank challan.
b. Printed application alongwith prescribed attachments shall be submitted at one of the above centers to obtain the Admit
Card.
c. In case of unavailability of computer facilities, applicants may use this facility in the designated computer laboratories at
the above centers from 13-08-2012 to 01-09-2012 excluding Eid vacations.
d. The Entry Test Fee of Rs. 350/- may be deposited in any online HBL Branch in Pakistan.
3. WHO MAY APPLY?
The Entry Test for B.Sc Engineering would be of F.Sc./ Intermediate level and will be offered in the following combinations:
(a) Physics, Mathematics, English & Chemistry; (b) Physics, Mathematics, English & Computer Science; and (c) Physics,
Mathematics, English & Statistics. Applicants who have passed or have appeared in F.Sc/ Intermediate, B.Sc., DAE, B.Tech
(Pass), or any Equivalent Examination may apply and choose the relevant combination.
4. ATTACHMENTS WITH THE ENTRY TEST APPLICATION
a. Photocopy of CNIC or Computerized B Form issued by NADRA.
b. Two passport size photographs (one to be pasted on the printed application).
c. Paid Challan Form Receipt No. 1.
5. SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION
a. Application complete in all respect should be submitted during the working hours (Monday to Thursday and Saturday 9:00
A.M to 2:00 PM and Friday 9:00 A.M to 12:00 Noon).
b. Applications will not be received during Eid-ul-Fitr vacations from 20
th
 August until 22
nd
 August 2012.
c. It is not essential for an applicant to appear in person for submission of Entry Test application at the desired center.
d. Incomplete Entry Test applications and applications sent through post/courier shall be rejected.
6. REQUIREMENT OF PHOTO-ID AT THE TEST CENTER DURING ENTRY TEST
Applicants are reminded to arrange for photo-ID like CNIC, SSC Certificate, Domicile etc for presentation in the Entry Test
Centers during the Entry Test.
The LAST DATE for submitting the Entry Test Application is 01-09-2012 up to 4:00 P.M.

ENTRANCE TEST – 2012
For Admission to Public and Private
Medical / Dental Institutions of the Punjab

The University of Health Sciences (UHS) Lahore, shall conduct the Entrance Test for admission to First Year MBBS / BDS in Public and Private Medical and Dental Institutions of the Punjab on Sunday, 23rd September, 2012 at 09:00 A.M

As per the Regulations of Pakistan Medical & Dental Council (PMDC), it is mandatory to appear in the Entrance Test of the Punjab for admission to any medical/dental college of the province
  1. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR ENTRANCE TEST

    The applicant has passed Intermediate Science (HSSC/F.Sc) (Pre-Medical Group) or Equivalent Examination, securing at-least 60% (660/1100), unadjusted marks (excluding the marks of Hifz-e-Quran etc.). Those having foreign qualifications such as A-Level or American 12th Grade, shall have to provide the Equivalence Certificate issued by Inter-Board Committee of Chairmen (IBCC).
  2. WHO CAN APPLY

    1. The candidates having domicileof any district of the Punjab and Federal Capital Area (Islamabad), Azad Jammu & Kashmir and Province of Gilgit-Baltistan (Northern Area).
    2. Dual nationals of Pakistani origin must take the Entrance Test (If they have not passed SAT II examination with a minimum score of 550 marks in each science subject i.e., Biology, Chemistry and Physics / Mathematics) for admission against seats reserved for them under Pakistan Technical Assistance Programme (PTAP) and Self- Finance Scheme (SFS).

ORIENTATION SEMINARS

University of Health Sciences (UHS) Lahore will also arrange Orientation Seminars for students who are going to appear in the Entrance Test. Entry is free for all and parents are especially encouraged to attend the seminar. The schedule of these seminars is as follows:

  1. FORMAT OF ENTRANCE TEST

    1. The test shall consist of one paper containing 220 multiple-choice questions (MCQs)- four options with single best answer- divided into Four sections, namely
      1. Physics (44 MCQs)
      2. Chemistry (58 MCQs)
      3. English (General for language proficiency) (30 MCQs)
      4. Biology (88 MCQs)
    2. The duration of Test shall be 150 minutes (2½ hours).
    3. Each question carries 05 marks. Total marks, therefore, are 1100.
    4. There shall be Negative Marking in the test. For each correct answer, 05 marks will be awarded whereas for each incorrect answer, one (01) mark will be deducted from the total score. .
  2. SYLLABUS OF ENTRANCE TEST

    The syllabus of Entrance Test 2012 has already been available on UHS website www.uhs.edu.pk. The candidates are advised to prepare for the Entrance Test according to this syllabus from their respective textbooks.
  3. CENTRES FOR ENTRANCE TEST

    1. Entrance Test 2012 will be held simultaneously in following cities:
      Southern PunjabCentral PunjabNorthern Punjab
      Bahawalpur , Multan, Rahim Yar Khan and D.G. Khan.Lahore, Faisalabad, Sahiwal, Gujrat, Gujranwala and Sargodha.Rawalpindi and Hassan Abdal.
    2. Candidates shall mention on their Application Forms and Admittance Cards the city from where they wish to appear in the test
    3. Centres will be allotted by UHS subject to administrative / logistic arrangements which shall not be changed subsequently
  4. HOW TO APPLY FOR ENTRANCE TEST

    1. The Entrance Test kit will be available on the payment of Rs.500/- in cash, from 31st August to 9th September 2012 (including Sundays) from 09:00 AM to 03:00 PM at :

    2. The candidates shall submit the duly filled Application Forms at the same centre from where they received the Entrance Test kit, from 31st August to 9th September 2012 (including Sundays) from 09:00 AM to 03:00 PM
    3. The candidates shall submit following documents with their applications:
      1. Attested copy of Matriculation/SSC or equivalent examination Certificate.
      2. Attested copy of HSSC/FSc (Pre-medical) or equivalent examination Certificate. Computer-generated result cards are also acceptable.
      3. Attested copy of Birth Certificate issued by the Union Council, if date of birth is not mentioned on Matriculation certificate.
      4. Duly filled Admittance Cards (both copies). The cards must not be separated. Please paste two coloured photographs (2.5 cm x 2.5 cm) on the two cards.
      5. One self-addressed A-4 size envelope with Rs 40/- postage stamps.
      6. Four recent coloured photographs (3.5 cm x 4.5 cm) of the candidate. One to be pasted on the application form and attested on the front and other three, attested on the back, to be attached with the form.
      7. Attested copy of domicile certificate of the candidate. No other document shall be acceptable in lieu of domicile certificate. Foreign candidates shall provide the attested copy of their foreign passport in lieu of domicile.
      8. Hafiz-e-Quran shall present a certificate of Hafiz-e-Quran, issued by a registered Madrassa.
    4. The candidates are required to submit Application forms by hand. Applications received through post shall NOT be entertained.
    5. On successful submission of application, the Duty Staff will issue a receipt to the applicant. The applicant is required to collect his/her duly stamped Admittance Card bearing his/her roll number and centre for Entrance Test, from the same centre where he/she submitted his/her application, on the date mentioned on his/her receipt. The Admittance Cards will be available from 11th September to 15th September, 2012, from 09:00 AM to 03:00 PM at respective centres

IMPORTANT

  1. No application for Entrance Test shall be received after 03:00 PM on 9th September, 2012.
  2. No candidate shall be allowed to enter the examination centre without the Admittance Card issued by the University. Candidates who fail to collect their Admittance Cards on the specified date shall have their candidature revoked.
  3. Any candidate found to have domicile of more than one place shall be disqualified.
  4. Any candidate found to have submitted forged certificates or fake documents at any stage of admission shall be permanently debarred from admission to any medical / dental college.
  5. Entrance Test for Punjab is also mandatory for admission to private sector medical / dental colleges of the Punjab.
  6. There is no minimum or maximum age limit for admission to any medical / dental institution
  7. The candidates must reach their respective centres at least one hour before the commencement of the test. The centres shall be sealed/closed at 8.15 AM sharp.

UHS MCAT 2012 DATE

MCAT (Medical Colleges Admission Test) under University of Health Sciences will be held on 23rd September 2012.
The formula will be 40% F.sc Marks, 50% MCAT marks and 10% Matric Marks.
The schedule for Forms submission will be displayed in newspapers on 12th August 2012 and Forms submission will start from 13th August, 2012.
